When you understand, Chrissy, that what most people really, really want is simply to feel good about themselves, and when you realize that with just a few well-chosen words you can help virtually anyone on the planet instantly achieve this, you begin to realize just how simple life is, how powerful you are, and that love is the key.
Fly little bird,
The Universe
When your day starts out with something like that, it is hard to be in anything but a good mood.
+ At work, I have been steadily working through a 10 hour tutorial on Dreamweaver, which is a program that lets you design websites. So far, I really like it. Like, a lot. I am feeling a shift in my interests lately. I'm reading a lot of craft and design blogs, I'm in love with my new MacBook, I really want to go to South by Southwest Interactive this March, I'm dreaming of launching a literary magazine online and spending my days reading, writing, editing, and making the Internet. What does this all mean? Where will the buzz of this new interest, the stretch of these new horizons, lead me? I don't know, but I'm eager to find out. It's an exciting time to be awake!
nice quote
ReplyDeleteSounds like Scientology.
ReplyDeleteNot to sound like an old lady of 33, but you're sounding exactly like me when I started teaching myself to make the interweb. I was a copy-editor, but fell in love with web development when I realized that it was really 20th century typesetting, that it was a form of publishing that gave everyone their own press.
ReplyDeleteFollow your curiosity. If you have any questions, you have someone to ask (me!).
yay for you! lit mag FTW!
sean - i like the quote, too. it makes me want to be a nicer person.
ReplyDeletejen - maybe, but without the aliens. which is kind of a shame.
mia - 20th century typesetting and free press! yes! that's exactly it! i'm so excited about all the stuff i'm learning and will be sure to bombard you with questions as they arise. :)
It's a good quote, reminds us to be compassionate and loving towards all living beings. :) Good luck with Dreamweaver.. it's a few meters over my head. ;) lol Peace!
